This morning at breakfast our nine year old randomly commented that it would be hard to be a pioneer. When I asked her why she responded with; "They had to keep going when someone died.". I agreed.
I'm not sure if she was thinking of her Dad or not when she came up with that - but, it sure brought the thought to my mind. We're going to do our best to move forward without our husband and father here with us.
You may be without him eventually, but you will still have us. That is no replacement by any means, but just like the pioneers, the wagons are circled! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhat a sensitive thing for Rachel to say! And it's true. Those left behind have to keep going. I really love how Elder Scott refers often in his talks to receiving help and inspiration from his wife Jeanene, who passed away decades ago. I agree with Nicole that the wagons are circled!!!!!
